Dance

Younger Children - This class includes a variety of dance styles and music selections. Simple dance technique and traveling patterns are included in every class. Creative expression is encouraged as well as dancing together as a group. Props are used as an additional form of learning and expression. Dancers perform a dance at the end of the session.

Older Children - This class covers a variety of dance styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, musical theater, and creative movement. Students learn dance technique, travelling patterns and choreography. Different aspects of movement are addressed in each class such as: rhythm, quality of movement, use of space. Students are challenged to use their creativity and move beyond familiar patterns.

Gina Quintana is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Dance. Gina has taught dance in studios and schools throughout central and southern California for 19 years. She performs regularly at Disneyland, and can also be found working with Discovery Arts, bringing art, dance, music and drama to children with cancer, serious blood disorders, and life-threatening illness to hospitalized children.
