Newport Beach, Calif. - United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCP-OC) will recognize Edwards Lifesciences, Dennis Kuhl and Dr. Michael Muhonen at their annual Life Without Limits gala on Friday, May 9 at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach. A black & white soiree is the theme to this black-tie affair that benefits UCP-OC which provides a range of vital programs and services to nearly 4,000 children with cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, Down syndrome and developmental delays.
Honorary event co-chairs are UCP-OC board members and Orange County business leaders Jeannette Wistner, Managing Director, Tax at KPMG, and Blair Minnis, Sr. Private Banker, V.P. at Wells Fargo Bank.
Edwards Lifesciences, the global leader in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring, is being honored for its dedication to health and charitable giving that supports UCP-OC’s Early Intervention program, which serves 460 children each year ages 0-5 with or at risk of developmental disabilities or delays.
Dennis Kuhl, Chairman of Angels Baseball, is being recognized for over for eight years of support of UCP-OC and through his involvement, the Angel’s organization has sponsored the Therapeutic Recreation Program and provided several unique experiences for children with disabilities with Angel’s players.
Director of Neurosurgery at CHOC Children’s Hospital, Dr. Michael Muhonen is being recognized for serving on UCP-OC’s Pediatric Medical Advisory Board for four years with his passion for children with disabilities being the forefront of his work.
For more than 60 years, United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County has helped children with a wide range of disabilities to lead a Life Without Limits and achieve their full potential and inclusion into society at all levels. UCP-OC provides vital services that support nearly 4,000 children and families each year to improve individual well-being from birth through early adulthood.
