The Life Without Limits Therapy Center offers a variety of recreational activities after-school and evening classes to elementary-aged children, teens and young adults. Classes will keep growing in availability and variety to suit parents’ busy schedules and your child’s changing interests.
Our curriculum and class offerings are always changing! We also offer short term programs like Bike Camp each August.

Who’s eligible for the classes?
UCP–OC recognizes the need for more recreational opportunities for children with disabilities. Any child WITH or WITHOUT a disability may sign up for classes if they fit the following basic criteria, as assessed in an informal assessment by the individual class instructor and/or UCP-OC staff:
• Must be able to follow simple instructions.
• Must not be overly aggressive or disruptive on a regular basis
Will the instructors know how to work with my child?
We hire expert instructors who have experience working with children and adults having a variety of disabilities. The recreation registration forms are thorough and all instructors are available to speak with parents and an-swer any questions they may have prior to or after each class.
How do I register?
If you would like to register your child, you may call Alicia Chan, Volunteer and Family Support Services Manager, at 949-333-6430 or email email@example.com. The Class Schedule will be updated for each Class and Session. Parents may register with the Recreation and Family Support Services Manager before the class session begins and participate in a $15 trial the first meeting of the 8-week session. Classes will be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met.
What are the costs to enroll?
Class fees may vary. These fees cover the cost of your dedicated instructor and class supplies. Each class has one-time fee which is posted on the class schedule. The fees for each class are assessed by the number of meetings in a session (8) not by the number of meetings that the participant attends; we do not offer proration. All required forms and releases along with fees must be returned to UCP-OC to secure your space in class or classes. (Payments of cash, check or credit card will be accepted).
How does the $15 trial work?
We offer a $15 trial on all classes on the first meeting. This is the time when both the parent and instructor can determine whether the student is a good fit for a class. We charge for the trial because space in our classes are limited, and participants who only attend one class occupy space that someone who could commit to the full 8 weeks would have. Our classes have carefully crafted curriculum, where each skill learned and practiced builds off of the previous—a participant would not get the full benefit of the class if they started mid-session. Our recreation program focuses on creating a safe and comfortable space for our participants; familiarity and trust are developed early in the session, and any additions to the class would be potentially disruptive to the class dynamic. If a participant would like to commit to the class after their trial, the $15 would be applied as credit towards the class fee.
