Dennis Kuhl, the President of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, has been a strong supporter of UCP-OC.  On November 1, 2008 Dennis hosted the Bud Kuhl Wood Bat Invitational at Angels Stadium. The event hosted a double-header game between two senior teams and lunch was catered by Katella Grill in the Rockpile near the outfield. Bridget Beresford was there to throw out the first pitch, and Bonner Paddock was on-hand to cheer her on.  The event was free to attend, with donations encouraged. All proceeds from the event were donated to Bridget Beresford’s Team S.M.I.L.E. benefiting UCP of Orange County.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are proud to have been honored as World Champions. It was the wild, wacky and ultimately wonderful 2002 season for the Angels, who began the year mired with the worst record in team history and finished up a magical recovery with the best mark after the regular season.
