Bonner Paddock - Beyond Limits
Bonner is an incredible man doing amazing things to help children with disabilities. For the past 4 years Bonner has committed himself to the vision of UCP
of Orange County – to help children with disabilities live a life without limitations. Having cerebral palsy himself, Bonner has embodied what it means to live life without limits.
Bonner was born prematurely with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. The deprivation of oxygen is what caused his condition of cerebral palsy. Although Bonner had physical challenges growing up, it did not stop him from participating in sports and living a full life. After high school, Bonner was able earn a soccer scholarship to Concordia University in Irvine where he still holds some school records. Today Bonner has experienced great success in professional and personal life. Bonner currently works for the Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks as the Senior Manager of Corporate Sponsorships and is an active board member on UCP’s Board of Directors.
“Bonner is an inspiration to all those who have a disability. His tremendous educational, professional and personal success is a shining example of what Life Without Limits means for all of us”
Gunnar Gooding President – UCP Board of Directors
Since joining the Board, Bonner has led by example. In 2006 Bonner announced that he would take on the challenge of completing a full marathon. In January, 2007 Bonner completed the OC Marathon and raised over $30,000. In the fall of 2007 Bonner announced that he was going to be the first person with cerebral palsy to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. As part of this challenge, Bonner committed to the ambitious goal of raising $250,000 that would go directly to the development of a new inclusive early learning center to be built in Orange County.
