Art

Students will be working with a variety of media, exploring the use of forms and color to show their views of nature. Each week we will work with a different season. Student art work will be displayed at the end of the session.

Nancy Lynn McElroy - received her BA in Studio Art from the University of California, Davis,. She has worked with children and adults with special needs since the early 1970s and feels that art is for everyone. Nancy enjoys helping each artist develop his or her own unique style and presentation.

David Reister has been creating art since childhood. He has a bachelor's degree of fine art with an emphasis in painting and a minor in art education from Northern Arizona University. He also started an art program for the Leroy Haines Center in 2003 where he taught art to abused and abandoned boys in La Verne California. He was introduced to the special needs community five years ago through his wife Julie; he has been creating art on his own and continues to teach private art lessons to kids and adults with special needs.
